AMD introduces Radeon Pro W7900 and Pro W7800 workstation GPUs
AMD has just announced its latest workstation GPUs. The Navi 31-based W7900 and W7800 will represent the high-end segment of the Radeon Pro series, delivering a remarkable increase in performance compared to the previous generation.
The W7900 is a powerhouse, packing 96 CUs and 48GB of GDDR6 ECC memory across a 384-bit memory bus for a maximum bandwidth of 864 GB/s. This allows it to offer up to 61 TFLOPS of single precision performance on a 295W TBP. The W7800, on the other hand, has 70 CUs and 32GB of GDDR6 ECC RAM on a 256-bit memory bus, offering a maximum bandwidth of 576 GB/s. Peak single-precision compute performance is 45 TFLOPs, and TBP is 260W.

Like the Radeon RX 7900 series, the Radeon Pro W7900 and W7800 are based on the RDNA3-based Navi 31 GPU, meaning they support AMD's second-gen ray tracing technology and new AI instruction sets. They also have 3x DisplayPort 2.1 and a mini-DisplayPort 2.1 as output interfaces and support AV1 encoding and decoding.
The SEPs for the AMD Radeon Pro W7800 and W7900 are $2,499 and $3,999, respectively. These workstation graphics cards are planned to be available in Q2 2023 through top etailers/retailers. Product availability in OEM and SI systems is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
